Who we are

Italian national apex cooperative organization representing around 10.000 cooperatives active in all the economic sectors, with 7.4 million individual members and around 457.000 employees. Legacoop is articulated in seven sectoral associations and regional/territorial branches covering the national territory. Legacoop supports cooperatives through specialized structures (for training, financial support, digitalization, etc.).

What we do

Advocacy;
Promotion of the cooperative identity, values and culture;
Support the development of cooperatives and promoting the creation of new ones;
Represent and safeguard member cooperatives;
Audit on cooperatives on behalf of the Competent Ministry of the Economic Development;
Commitment to the strengthening of the cooperative movement in Italy, Europe and at international level.
At international level, Legacoop supports cooperatives and cooperative associations in developing Countries through its structure for international cooperation Haliéus
