Summary

AMC is a rather solid MFI that has largely achieved its operational independence, but which must cope in particular with a number of growth problems. It has 18 agencies spread throughout the country and 168 employees. Number of clients: 15.000, of whom 57% are women. BRS supported and guided AMC over the years with coaching and advice concerning savings products, risk management, human resources. Strategic governance exercice in 2018 for ADEL Morazan (shareholder and strategic partner), building upon the cooperative principles. Furthermore, in 2019 the management and board of AMC could count on coaching from BRS in the restructuring of AMC. In 2021 and 2022 BRS continued to support AMC with consultancy and training regarding Human Resources and processes.

Project Objectives

Capacity building for AMC. Support in the development of new products and marketing, risk management, audit, internal control, HR, Change management.
