Summary

Together with Trias NGO, BRS helps MADFA Sacco to expand its agricultural credits to invidual smallholder farmers and farmer groups. In 2017, BRS has facilitated a workshop about credit process resulting in an action plan to improve the risk management, the commercial performances and the client satisfaction. In 2018, MADFA Sacco has requested BRS to provide support on BCP (business continuity management), mobile banking and cooperative governance. In 2019, BRS continued to work on better cooperative management as well as financial planning. In 2021 and 2022 focus is on Governance, business planning, risk management, ICT and processes.

Project Objectives

BRS started a partnership with the savings and credit cooperative Madfa. In 2017, the ultimate objective being to improve and diversify the sources of incomes of the farmers through access to tailored financial services.
