Project aims to generate community empowerment and to strengthen local governance for sustainable local development. The PUEDES project is carried out in the municipalities of Puerto Asis, Puerto Caicedo, Orito, Valle del Guamez, Puerto Leguizamo. Main objective is to strengthen the aspects linked to the organization of value-chain oriented by the market supply, through the identification and directly involvement of both local markets and the national and international companies interested in the products of the five common beneficiaries. The project aims to benefit 5,000 local producers, victims of the conflict, refugees and former combatants through aninclusive approach aimed primarily at young people and women. The plan is to strengthen communities on decision-making and planning of local investment and promote the creation of small community infrastructure for communities. The actions will be completed with the creation of an Artistic Training Center in each common beneficiary.

Project Objectives

Peace, the only hope for economic and social development – PUEDES is the project, within the Trust Fund of the European Union (EU), that Coopermondo in partnership with the CISP – International Committee for the Development of Peoples, will carry out in the department Putumayo.
