Who we are
NCUI is the apex cooperative organisation in India representing all the sectors of the Indian cooperative movement. Its objectives are to promote and develop the cooperative movement in India; to educate, guide and assist people in their endeavors; to build up and expand the cooperative sector; and serve as an exponent of cooperative opinion in accordance with cooperative principles. Being an apex, the NCUI is responsible for capacity building, advocacy and liasioning to create an enabling legal and policy environment for growth and development of cooperative model of business in the country.
What we do
- Promote and develop the cooperative movement in India – educate, guide and assist the people to build and expand the sector
- Organize cooperative education and training activities and popularize the principles and practices of cooperation in the country
- Express opinion on matter of cooperative Policy, Legislation and other emerging issues as representative of Indian Cooperative Movement at national and international level
