Summary
The UDBDP project follows an initiative financed by DFATD and implemented by SOCODEVI (Canada) from 2008 to 2014 and is considered as a Phase 2 of the previous intervention. It aims to support small and medium sized dairy producers improving the dairy practices in their family farm, achieving economy of scale of services provided by their agriculture service cooperative and creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurial farmers with the ultimate outcome “Increased growth of small and medium sized dairy businesses mainly in the region of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro and Kherson, particularly those led by women”. The project has 8 components that reflect its intervention logic.
Project Objectives
Support women and men dairy producers, improve dairy practices, achieve economy of scale of services provided by their cooperative, create a favorable environment for women farmers.
