Type of Activity
DOU TOULOMA aims to strengthen the socio-economic empowerment and well-being of women farmers in Mali, thus acting on the reduction of poverty for them and their families. The main intervention channels of women's cooperatives and their unions (CFBU) are the cultivation and processing of shallots and onions, cowpea and sesame cultivation, as well as rice processing. The initiative will target women farmers to strengthen their socio-economic power within their families and communities in a context of climate change (CC), by acting on the access, use and control of income and resources, and on their technical and entrepreneurial capacities. The project will also increase the performance of CFBUs in offering products and services (P/S) adapted to the specific needs of women farmers and climate and environmental challenges through the strengthening of the capacities of these CFBUs in terms of women's participation, leadership and representation in decision-making bodies, as well as the provision of products and services (P/S) adapted to the needs of women.
