Summary
The Project aims to reduce poverty through the sustainable increase in the economic empowerment of women and youth in the coffee and honey value chains, supporting economic recovery in the context of pandemic, socio-economic shocks and of climate change.
The Project also foresees the creation of a social enterprise bringing together the cooperatives of the targeted value chains, a private investor and Socodevi to process and export coffee and honey on international markets.
In addition, the Project will contribute to improving the capacities of the associative enterprises to offer high quality products and services, adapted to the gender-specific needs of their members, for a more efficient and profitable processing of coffee and honey, and to implement i a sales and marketing strategy to increase national and international sales.
