Summary

The project "Social and Solidarity Economy for Peace and the Common Good in Colombia" began in 2018 and focuses on the social and economic reincorporation of the ex-combatant population of the former FARC-EP guerrillas, within the process of implementing the peace agreements signed in November 2016. It is aimed at ECOMUN at the central level, as well as with its grassroots organizations located in the territories of the Caribbean Coast (Cesar, Guajira, Sucre and Bolívar), Southwest (Cauca, Valle del Cauca and Nariño) and Chocó. The project aims to "Contribute to the development of ECOMUN as the cooperative organization that leads the transformation and creation of the conditions and mechanisms for the collective reincorporation of women and men ex-combatants of the FARC-EP in a framework of social, community, solidarity and environmentally sustainable economy." It is oriented i) to the organic strengthening of ECOMUN and ii) identification of social economy initiatives of grassroots organizations composed of cooperatives and other associative forms based on the principles of the social and solidarity economy.

Project Objectives

Contribute to the construction of peace and the reincorparation of ex-combatant women and men frpm FARC - into livelihood through supporting them to create income through organisation into cooperatives.
