Summary

This project will address the capacities of PACU in providing services to their members and defending their rights in line with PACU strategy goal in building the internal capacity of PACU and its members. The focuses of this proposed project are: Organization Development, Business Development, Sustainable Production, Lobbying and Advocacy, Gender Equality. The project objective is to strengthen PACUs capacities in providing collective services for its members and defending their rights that will contribute to the overall development objective of the project. The project seeks to strengthen PACU capacities in providing collective services to their members and protecting their rights. Gender equality will be addressed, and a gender policy will be developed in this project to contribute to PACU strategy focus of working with the marginalized farmers who classified in the strategy as farmers and women farmers and contributes to We Effect’s gender focus of women’s economic self-determination and women’s political participation.

Project Objectives

The project objective is “A strong united agricultural cooperative sector contributing in the development and enhancement of the agricultural sector in Palestine”. The  project aims to strengthen the capacity of  The Agricultural Cooperative Union of Palestine (PACU) to be a voice for its members and to provide services for them with special focus on women and youth.
