Summary

Increased Women and youth involvement in Coffee Value chain development as well as governance of MEACCE Ltd. Through awareness and promotion of programs that enable women and youths to exercise their rights on equal terms as men will address the current challenge of gender inequality. This will see more women and youth involved in coffee value chain as well as take up more leadership positions at group, primary society and MEACCE ltd levels hence creating more confidence in making decisions that aid in stabilizing household incomes.

Project Objectives

To enhance Women and Youth participation in coffee production for livelihood improvement and increased resilience of smallholder farmers and their communities on Mt Elgon.
