Project Objectives

The overall goal is to double milk production by 2022 at the right quality and price. Specific objectives are: increased herd size to 28,900 cows in milk, to yield an average 15 litres per cow per day - more efficient production systems for improved quality and attract better milk price - all farmers to have improved access to affordable quality semen for improved herd genetics - more enabling policy and regulatory environment for its members - resuscitation of an independent laboratory and veterinary support services - inclusive growth and development of new dairy farmers, especially women and youth.
