Summary

Expected results are - BRDN structure formalized as accountable organisation for continuous empowering of rural stakeholders in the Western Balkan - Increased participation of rural women in BRDN's structures and in the rural communityís decision-making processes for achieving enhanced outreach and advocacy work in the Western Balkan Region - Improved operational performance and managerial capacities of BRDN and its ability to implement strategic long-term organisational plan, thus increasing its effectiveness, and its accountability to members and beneficiaries - Improved institutional capacities of BRDN's member networks (based on the capacity assessment of the members networks) - Improved organisational performance and managerial capacities of RDN of RM - Increased capacities of BRDN's member networks for implementation of LEADER approach - Increased capacities of the existing and potential Local Action Groups as nucleus for local rural economic development through the LEADER approach.

Project Objectives

The project aims at BRDN to become a legally formalized entity contributing to sustainable socio-economic development of rural areas in the Western Balkan Region. To provide organisational capacity building to BRDN's member networks by exchange of good practices. To increase participation of women in BRDN's structures and improved advocacy work of rural women within the Western Balkan Region.
