Project Objectives
The project aims to help small farmers in four provinces Southern Mindanao to work together so that they can improve the quality of their lives. The project's approach is to strengthen farmers organizations in becoming gender transformative cooperatives - promote integrated diversified organic farming system, provide marketing support and facilitate financial inclusion - and politically empower the FOs. The efforts of the individual FOs are being consolidated through federation structures: DACOFARM, which provides economic services to these individual FOs and DAFISCO (the project partner itself) which provides capacity building and technical assistance to these FOs.
