The project's approach is to strengthen farmers organizations in becoming gender transformative cooperatives - promote integrated diversified organic farming system, provide marketing support and facilitate financial inclusion - and politically empower the FOs. The efforts of the individual FOs are being consolidated through federation structures: DACOFARM, which provides economic services to these individual FOs and DAFISCO (the project partner itself) which provides capacity building and technical assistance to these FOs.
